Cinnamon Sautéed Bananas

This has been one of my most requested recipes on my personal Instagram page so finally, here's the recipe!

I love eating these Cinnamon Sautéed Bananas on their own, over Greek yogurt with granola, on over pancakes and oatmeal! One of my favorite parts about this recipe is that it is so decadanet and delicious without requiring a lot of prep or time!

Cinnamon Sautèed Bananas

  • 2 bananas, sliced 1/2 inch thick

  • 1/2 cup cane sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 tbsp heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp salted butter

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  1. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add the water, sugar, and salt. Bring to the boil, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar

  2. Turn the heat down to medium and allow the mixture to cook to a dark amber color

  3. Remove from the heat and pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly until combined

  4. Pour into a mason jar and store

  5. Melt butter over medium heat in a sauté pan

  6. When hot, add in bananas and sauté until golden brown

  7. Turn to low heat and add in 2 tbsp of cinnamon salted caramel sauce

  8. Melt caramel and bananas and serve best while hot

Tip: Swap for brown sugar (or half brown sugar) in this recipe for a deeper, richer flavor
