In my house I'm constantly looking for new ways to keep vegetables both fun and delicious! I'm always looking for simple, delicious veggie recipes that can be whipped up quickly, which is also exactly how the recipe was created. How can you go wrong with nutty brown butter, aromatic sage, vibrant sweet potatoes, and sweet honey? This recipe is also incredibly versatile, so be sure to swap in your favorite veggies for your own unique twist!

Sweet potatoes are an amazing source of fiber, beta carotene antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, manganese, & many other amazing nutrients!

Sweet Potatoes with Honey Brown Butter & Garden Sage

  • 1 large sweet potato, washed + cubed

  • 1 tbsp grass-fed butter

  • 1/4 tsp raw honey

  • 5 fresh sage leaves

  • 2 tbsp water

  • Sprinkle of sea salt

Tip: The butter in this recipe is for more than just flavor! did you know that certain antioxidants absorb into the body better when paired with fat? don’t skip this part & if you want, use an alternative like coconut or olive oil!
  1. Steam sweet potatoes in a pan with 2 tbsp of water for 15 minutes or until tender (be sure to cover with a lid!)

  2. Scoop potatoes into a bowl & in the same pan over medium high heat brown the butter by continually stirring until golden

  3. When butter is almost fully browned, add in the sage leaves & allow to infuse

  4. Remove from heat and melt in honey

  5. Toss potatoes into pan and coat thoroughly

  6. Finish with sea salt and enjoy!
